Registration and Access Details for Mobile Resources ​​

Please note:

  • Library Services does not endorse or recommend medical apps for clinical or patient use. Apps listed on this page are available to you via our institutional subscriptions
  • Library Services encourages staff to complete their own vetting and critical evaluation of medical apps before use
  • Privacy concerns? Be aware some apps may collect and sell your personal information and app usage to 3rd parties

CPS  

 Individuals must register onsite using a Horizon computer  (account / login details)   ​
 Individuals must download mobile app
 Email Library Services with your Horizon email for the Organization Code


Go to:
  • Enter your existing username and password. If you do not have one, please create an account.
  • You will receive a “welcome" email asking you to create your CPhA password—follow the instructions
  • Once your password has been set, visit the “profile" icon located at the top right of the page and select “profile" from the dropdown menu.
  • Scroll down to the “Set Mobile Enterprise Code" section.
  • Enter the Organization Code ******* (obtained from Library@HorizonNB.ca with your Horizon email) and set a CPS password. Click on the “Next" button.
  • You are all set! Download the CPS mobile app on your device and use your email address and the password you just created to login.

These steps are only required once you have installed the app on your device for the first time. 
To download the content, please ensure your device is connected to WiFi.


Ebsco Public Access Login (eBooks & Databases) 
 Email Library Services with your Horizon email for the username and password

Go to:

  • ​Enter the Username & Password (obtain from Library@HorizonNB.ca with your Horizon email) 
  • Scroll down and select applicable applications and then select Continue.

​​Firstline Horizon Clinical Decision Support​    

 Set-up is required the first time you use the app 

  • Go to the Apple/Google Play App Store from your Mobile Device and search for Firstline – Clinical Decisions
  • Once installed, select Browse Guidance > enter Horizon Health Network from the list of organizations, select your Location and Role (physician, pharmacist, nurse, etc.) (This step is only required the first time the app is opened)

​The Firstline app is customized to deliver local and Provincial antimicrobial stewardship guidelines, resistance data, and dosing information to healthcare providers. The app will provide clear guidelines on testing, infection prevention control measures, treatments, and how to manage complications for various infectious disease states. It is easy to use and can provide information quickly and directly to your mobile device.


Lexidrug   

 Individuals must create an account onsite using a Horizon computer (with Horizon email)
 Individuals must download Lexidrug app

Access Your Lexidrug App 
When you arrive at this step in the registration,
 "Are you a new or existing customer?" Select "New".

Using a handheld device, go to:
  • Click “Sign In" in the upper right-hand menu
  • Under Sign In Registered Users, enter (case sensitive):  Username and ​Password (obtain from Library@HorizonNB.ca with your Horizon email) 
  • Bookmark or add the mobile site to your device's home screen

Step 1: CREATE a TDS Health Profile Account 
Go to Skyline > Library Services > Stat!Ref (tds Health).  Click the Profile link above the search bar. If you have already created a Profile account (formerly called a My STAT!Ref account) skip down to Step 4. If you do not have a Profile account, click Register.​

Step 2: ACTIVATE Your Login

  • Activate your username and password as an Anywhere Login Account. By activating the Anywhere Login Account, you'll be enabling your username and password to open the app.
  • ​Go to the “Welcome" and your name drop-down and click “Anywhere Login Account."
  • ​Click the “Activate" button.
  • ​ Make note of the expiration date of your Anywhere Login Account. You will need to access TDS Health using the Renew instructions below to renew your Anywhere Login Account. You CANNOT do this from the mobile app.

Step 3: ENABLE Your Mobile App Using Your Anywhere Login Account

  • ​Download the FREE app for STAT!Ref from iTunes, Google Play or Amazon App Store.
  • ​On your mobile device go to Apps and tap on the STAT!Ref icon.
  • ​Enter your email address as your username and the password you created. The password is case-sensitive.  You can choose to save your login information to your device.
  • ​You have now enabled your app. An expiration email reminder for users of Anywhere Login Accounts are sent 10 days and then again 1 day prior to expiration. You can still renew even if your login expires. You just won't be able to use the app until you renew the Anywhere Login Account. You CANNOT do this from the mobile app. Use the RENEW instructions in Step 4 to renew your Anywhere Login Account. Once renewed, your app will be active again.​

Step 4: RENEW Your Account - Renewing an Anywhere Login Account
You CANNOT do this from the mobile app. To protect a subscription from unauthorized use, it is required that users re-authenticate their Anywhere Login Accounts every 6 months.

  • ​​Access your TDS Health subscription as you normally would using an official login method. This would be authentication based on the IP addresses of your institution and/or full user accounts usually via a desktop or laptop computer while at your institution or through a proxy server login (using your institutional login).
  • Click the Profile link above the search bar. Login if necessary using your Profile username and password.
  • ​Click the “Anywhere Login Account" tab and click the “Renew" button.

TIP: Access TDS Health the way in which you did in order to create your Anywhere Login Account. Do not log in to TDS Health using your Anywhere Login Account and try to renew. If you do, the “Renew" button will be grayed out and you will not be able to renew the account​

  • To register, go to Skyline > Tools & Resources > Library Services > UpToDate > Register
  • Click on the “Register" tab in the upper right-hand corner
  • Complete registration fields or login with current UpToDate credentials when the Registration Page appears 
  • You will need access to the registered email account to complete your registration
  • Click “Send Verification Code"
  • Enter the Verification Code sent to your email
  • Click “Submit Verification Code"​​

​This is a one-time registration: Once registered, you will receive an email confirmation from UpToDate 

Important: You will use this username and password to access UpToDate from the mobile application and for the UpToDate website login

You are now able to download UpToDate Anywhere Mobile Apps on 2 devices

  • ​ iOS® users: The UpToDate Mobile App for iOS works with any iPhone® or iPad® running the latest two versions of iOS.
  • Android™ users: The UpToDate Mobile App for Android works with Android devices running the latest two versions of Android OS that have at least 50 MB of free phone memory. SD card installation is supported.
  • Go to the App Store on your device, search for UpToDate, and download the app
  • ​Once the mobile app has downloaded on your device, use the UpToDate username & password you created during the registration process from within Horizon's network (not WiFi).

​Re-verification is required:  In-application & email messaging will inform you of the need to verify your ongoing affiliation with Horizon. To retain remote access rights to Horizon's subscription, you will need to login & use UpToDate on Horizon's network (not WiFi) at least once every 90 days. (Re-verification is not possible using Horizon's WiFi network).
